B vitamins form a group of 8 substances that are chemically entirely different. They have in common – with the exception of vitamin B12 – that the body cannot store them. They are precursors of coenzymes that are in turn essential for functioning enzymes.
Examples for these are many of the enzymes of our energy metabolism and enzymes involved in syntheses, for example in blood formation, or enzymes in the metabolism of neurotransmitters that are dependent on B vitamins.
In addition to that, this preparation contains choline and inositol. Both are chemical precursors for syntheses. This includes a messenger substance responsible for transporting information within cells and a neurotransmitter that contributes to the vegetative balance.
