Chromium exists in different oxidation levels. While, for example, hexavalent chrome is toxic, the trivalent form is an essential trace element. It acts as a cofactor during the synthesis of proteins and lipids and it is a component of the glucose tolerance factor (GTF). This factor improves the efficiency of insulin and the regulation of the blood sugar level. When this regulation is disturbed, the tolerance for glucose deteriorates. This is the first step in the development of a diabetic disease.

Therefore, this preparation additionally contains all the substances of this valuable dietary supplement.
