Vitamin D3 mse - 90 capsules
During the summer months, vitamin D3 is physiologically synthesized in the skin from its precursor 7-dehydrocholesterol through the UVB component of sunlight. The liver and the kidneys produce the active hormone calcitriol from vitamin D3. Among other things, this hormone contributes to regulating the metabolism in the bones, the muscles and the nervous and immune system. Due to today’s lifestyle, many people have a significantly lowered D3 blood level that naturally declines further during the winter months.
A deficit contributes for example to chronic inflammations, insufficient calcium storage in bones and a lower efficiency of neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine. These consequences can contribute to the development of several chronic diseases. For preventing and treating chronic diseases, a sufficient D3 level should be maintained.
